Carl "Buddy" Corse began playing in Bars and Nightclubs around Baltimore at age 16, playing tenor saxophone for The Catholics in such classic venues as The Marble Bar, Girard's, and No Fish Today and recording singles at TRAX studio. In the mid 80's, he helped form the Alternative Band Yanomamo, with his friend and musical collaborator Michael Hochman. Together they wrote and performed a large body of original music playing at the famous Annapolis Institute Parties and in clubs around the Baltimore
Metro area. Carl moved to Philadelphia in 1989 to pursue a degree in Engineering at Temple University. While in Philly, he formed The Hermedics, an original and cover band playing venues such as The Barbary in Center City and The Berwyn Tavern on the Main Line. Later, in northern Maryland, he formed the Discount Blues Band which, with the current lineup of top professional musicians, has become The Harbor Cats.
